Dossier: FoxKit

Post by FoxKit on 2008-09-13, 01:33

It occurred to me that I never quite introduced myself.
My moniker is Kit Fowley, I currently hold down two jobs, one at a local coffee shop, the other selling video games. I'm also training at the local airport for my private license, after which I'm going to get my instrument training, commercial license, et. all. When I'm not working, I am usually playing my PS3. (Handle FoxKit- If you add me, be sure to let me know who you are. n.n)
I publish most of my drawings on my deviantart: Http://mfox87.deviantart.com/
And I moderate a roleplay forum here: Http://archytaslegacy.proboards61.com/
I play Dungeons and Dragons most Wednesdays, Airsoft once a month or so, and Cosplay as often as possible. (A few characters I've done are Revolver Ocelot from MGS3, Haku from Naruto (Although I don't watch the show...), and Jack Spicer from Xiao Lin Showdown.)

So between all of this, (Not including real life. I do have to see my friends. n.n) I always make time to watch Zorori whenever I can. This is my first time helping to fansub anything, so wish me luck! I'm going to try my best to time these episodes quickly, and well!

--Cheers!

Hehe cheers cheers! It certainly is appreciated, it's hard taking on so many roles and getting in extra help to lessen the workload -_-

Of course I'm acru the encoder, the typesetter, timer, seeder, etc etc, it'll be nice to add some help Smile

I'm quite familiar with you, Acru but it's nice to meet you formally. n.n
I'm working on the episode now and I must say, the work is a little easier than I was worried it might be, but more time consuming than I hoped. n.n; It's a fair trade-off. I just hope I can live up to that standards that you and the rest of the team here have set up. There's a lot of coding that goes into that titling and karaoke that I don't think I could ever do. n.n

But I've offered to help out before and I'll do so as long as I have time to spare, although I'm scared to death that I might miss a deadline. I'm on track for now though, so expect it soon! n.n

Edit: The audio and video keep coming undone in Aegisub. Am I the only one who has this problem? It's not too bad, there are certain lines that will work reliably, but if I jump around in the video the audio becomes unsynchronized.

Depends on what your system specs are, and what you're using to subtitle from Smile Also helps to have something like the klite codec pack installed, from within the program you can load the entire audio track into RAM and that might solve your sync problems : >

Yeah it's really time consuming but if you practice at it, one can time 24 mins in between 2 1/2-3 hours (dual monitors also help heh)

:S
Someone is finally familiar with me...yay :>

Did you open the audio from the file? It's much easier to time that way.

I've been making a tutorial, but so far I've only gotten the basic tutorial finished.

I don't know if this will help you because it's really basic stuff and I haven't finished the tutorial on timing yet, but maybe someone else stalking this thread might Very Happy

I may just put up with it so far, It's probably because I'm working on my laptop. n.n;
It's the only PC I have, I needed a laptop because of the tablet screen, so... B-but I'm doing all right so far.

I'm on track to finish by Friday, I'd say 86% chance if I was to take an 'L' approach, as long as I don't spend more time working on my Organization XIII cloak than timing.
Which I shouldn't because I hate piping. X(
I just got off work, so my writing is way too tangential, sorry...

And by the way- Wtf, Zorori-san?

Don't feel rushed to finish. Anything you don't finish I can do.

Unlike you I have no life and have the time for it Sad

Org coats are always cool Cool

And Zorori-san is a master of disguise. Woman disguises included Very Happy

Both of your advice worked. n.n When I loaded in the audio from the video, it read into RAM, and now it syncs up perfectly, thanks!
It'd be a safe bet to assume that I'll be done by Friday.

Also, please pardon my vanity... u.u

The hood needs some work, and the bottom piping isn't finished, but I was happy with the beads. There's an anime convention coming up and I'm debating wearing this (As Marluxia, perhaps?) or my Zidane outfit that I've been working on as well.
I thought about doing a Zorori cosplay a while ago, but never settled on which outfit to do, or how to do it...
